Retrieving Photometric Properties and Soil Moisture Content of Tidal Flats Using Bidirectional Spectral Reflectance

چکیده

Moisture content in tidal flats changes frequently and spatially on account of fluctuations, which greatly influence the reflectance flat surface. Precise prediction spatial-temporal variation flats’ moisture is an important foundation surface bio-geophysical information research by remote sensing. In this paper, we first measured multi-angle soil samples obtained from northeastern Dongtai, Jiangsu Province, China, laboratory. Then, based particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, retrieved photometric characteristics employing SOILSPECT bidirectional model. Finally, was introducing equivalent water thickness soil. The results showed that: (i) A significant correlation existed between content. model capable estimating with high precision using reflectance. (ii) Retrieved values single scattering albedo (ω) were consistent roughness parameter (h) asymmetry factor (Θ) structure composition dry samples. (iii) When soaked water, type both irregular changes. These support importance size as one parameters for retrieval content, a method that should be used cautiously, especially flats.

Modeling Spectral and Bidirectional Soil Reflectance

SOILSPECT is a radiative transfer model, derived from Hapke's model, that represents the optical properties of soil from 450 nm to 2450 nm. The spectral and bidirectional reflectance of 26 soils was measured in the laboratory both with a field spectroradiometer (1000 narrow wavebands from 450 nm to 2450 nm) and a radiometer simulating TM channels (the five TM2, TM3, TM4, TM5, and TM7 broad band...

Retrieving skin properties from in vivo spectral reflectance measurements.

A previously developed inverse method was applied to in vivo normal-hemispherical spectral reflectance measurements taken on the inner and outer forearm as well as the forehead of healthy white Caucasian and black African subjects. The inverse method was used to determine the thickness and melanin concentration in the epidermis, dermal blood volume fraction and oxygen saturation, and skin's spe...

The Effects of Soil Moisture Content on Reflectance Spectra of Soils Using UV-VIS-NIR Spectroscopy

This study was conducted to investigate the effects of soil moisture content on reflectance spectra of sandy soils with different phosphorus (P) concentrations using UV-VIS-NIR reflectance spectroscopy. Sandy soils with average particle size of 250 μm were used. Investigations were conducted at 0, 12.5, 62.5, 175, 375, 750, and 1000 mg/kg phosphorus application rates. Three soil moisture conten...

Foliage moisture content and spectral characteristics using near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS)

Foliage moisture content (FMC in % dry-weight) was measured in seven Mediterranean evergreen species during summer 2001. All samples were dried, ground and scanned using a NIR spectrophotometer. Two methods of calibration for FMC were compared, one using stepwise regression on selected wavelengths and the other using partial least squares (PLS) regression that takes into account all the spectra...
